So, you want to Jailbreak your iPhone eh? Well, before we start I need to get a couple of things cleared off of my chest. I want you to know that I’m not telling you that I recommend you to Jailbreak your iPhone, nor am I telling you that you’ll be 100% satisfied; I’m also not telling you that this guide will work the way it worked for most.
READ HERE: May I also say that this guide will only allow you to jailbreak your iPhone and not unlock it. Unlocking allows you to change sims on your iPhone. Jailbreaking allows you to change themes and all that other good stuff on your iPhone.
Now, here’s my super simple guide to jailbreak your iPhone.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- iPhone / 3G / 3GS / iPod Touch
- Windows Operating System
- Blackra1n (Save in the C:/ or it won’t work)
- iTunes 9.0.1 (iTunes 9.0 works fine as well)
- iPhone 3.1.2 Software Installed
Here’s what you’ll do:
1.Follow these instructions carefully – oh and keep visiting the blog
2. Run blackra1n.exe (Make sure your iPhone is connected)
3. Now wait for the guy’s face to appear and you’re iPhone is being prepared.
4. When you see the pop-up (displayed below) you’ll know your done.

5. You’ll get a new icon called ‘blackra1n’. It looks similar to the desktop version. You’ll get this screen on your iPhone (displayed below)

6. Install Cydia (but not rock or icy as they have been known to stuff up the system). You may uninstall the blackra1n app when you are sure that Cydia works. Don’t worry though, because it won’t erase your jailbreak.

7. Now, reboot your iPhone and enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed this guide and found it simple to read and understand. If you have any problems, just post a comment, and I’d be more than happy to help.
